Hyundai, Volvo Recalls Affect Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Volvo S60 and XC60
Hyundai and Volvo have issued two separate recalls that could affect a total of 17,470 vehicles.
The Hyundai recall applies to Hyundai Sonata Hybrid sedans from the 2011 and 2012 model years, and includes 14,728 vehicles. The federal government’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says these models do not meet the federal safety standard for “occupant crash protection.”

Volvo Recalls 17,000 Cars for Wiring Problems
Volvo is recalling sedans and wagons from the 2012 model year for possible electrical problems. The recall applies to four models, including 2012 Volvo S60 and S80 sedans and 2012 XC60 and XC70 wagons.
The wiring for the front seats may not be installed properly, so when the seat is moved, the wires could separate. “Such a separation could lead to the improper functioning of airbags and lap-belt pretensioners,” reports Autoblog.
