Among the vehicles debuting at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show today are a large collection of supercars and exotics for the automotive press to dream about. Autoblog profiles the Audi R8 TDI LE Mans, which "features the same 6.0L V12 pumping out 500 horsepower and prodigious torque," as the standard R8, but is also compliant with new European emissions standards, "making it mean and green." Edmunds Inside Line profiles the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, which mates a 5.2-liter, 552 horsepower V10 to a permanent four-wheel drive system to achieve 0-60 times of "less than 3.7 seconds" and a top speed of 202 mph. "The face-lifted Gallardo exudes a bit more personality to go along with the extra muscle," Edmunds says. It can be yours for a modest $222,000. The Koenigsegg CCX and CCXR Editions, according to Autoblog, "are said to be good for a 0-60 sprint of just under three seconds," with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that tops out at "888HP in the CCX," and "1,018HP in the E85-burning CCXR." Both come in at a little over $2 million. Even pricier is the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès, Jalopnik reports. At "a total price of over $2.3 million," the special edition of Bugatti's supercar features an 8.0-liter "16-cylinder ‘W' configuration engine...fed by four turbochargers and features 64 valves, generating 1001 horsepower at 6000 rpm."
