Motor Trend reports, "Chrysler has announced it is recalling of approximately 181,000 Chrysler Sebring and Dodge Avenger models built for the 2007-2008 model year, citing defective electrical connectors." Connectors located in the cars' tire pressure monitoring system may fail.

Autoblog explains, "Apparently, corrosion can cause a short, and owners could experience their vehicles failing to start, stalling once underway, or some other affectations of the electrical components, including the cruise control."

Chrysler says that no injuries have been reported as a result of the defect, and dealerships will fix the problem free of charge.
