The sixth generation SL550 incorporates an aluminum body structure shedding 300 pounds of weight from the SL550 yet is stronger and more rigid thus enabling the 4.6 liter twin-turbo engine producing 429 horsepower and 32% more torque to launch the SL550 from 0-60mph in a mere 4.5 seconds.
